Whale Heading from Iceland to Bermuda Triangle

Humpback whale

Photo: Wikipedia.

A humpback whale which was marked with a satellite sender in Eyjafjörður fjord, North Iceland, on November 10 last year has since swam in an almost straight line south from Iceland to the east of Bermuda.

The whale is now about 500 nautical miles from a popular early spring mating place for humpback whales in the Caribbean.

Having now lasted 101 days, the whale has had its journey monitored longer than in previous tracking of humpback whales, mbl.is reports.
