The Reykjavík Metropolitan Police Department has posted a message on its Facebook page, asking the driver of the white car, pictured above, to step forward.

The car drove west on Óseyrarbraut road in Hafnarfjörður, just south of Reykjavík, last Saturday, January 14, at 12:24 pm. The driver is asked to contact the police since that person may have information regarding the case of Birna Brjánsdóttir, the 20-year-old Icelandic woman who has been missing since Saturday morning.

The police emphasize that the driver is not suspected of any kind of wrongdoing, but could potentially have information which is useful in the investigation of the case.

Anyone able to identify the car or its driver is asked to contact the police with that information by calling +354 444-1000, or by sending a Facebook message, or by sending an email to [email protected].

The red dot on the map below shows the location of Óseyrarbraut in Hafnarfjörður.
