Icelanders won 12 prizes yesterday at the Games of the Small States of Europe (GSSE), Skessuhorn reports. The games, which are taking place in San Marino, are a biannual, multi-sport event organized since 1985. Icelanders have won seven gold, one silver and four bronze medals so far this year.
Ágúst Júlíusson from Akranes won a bronze medal in the 100m butterfly yesterday with a time of 55:67 seconds. Inga Elín Cryer placed 5th in the 100m butterfly at 1:03.94 minutes. Her teammate Bryndís Rún Hansdóttir won in the same category with a time of 1:01.57 minutes. Readers can follow results in the games here.
