A woman found seriously injured in her apartment in Reykjavík last night was pronounced dead upon arrival to the emergency room. Two men were in the apartment when police arrived and were arrested on the scene.
The victim and one of the men were both of foreign origin, while the second man was Icelandic. The three individuals knew each other, and the foreign man and victim lived together, according to the police.
Both men are currently being interrogated as murder suspects and will likely be taken into custody later today. Chief superintendent Grímur Grímsson claims that a weapon or something similar had been used.
