Iceland’s PM Travels to US and Canada

Prime Minister of Iceland Jóhanna Sigurdardóttir travels to Canada today. She will travel around Canada and the US until Monday and participate in the Icelandic Festivals held by the Icelandic communities in both countries.

Sigurdardóttir will be the guest of honor at both festivals. This year an Icelandic festival is being held for the 111th time in Mountain, North-Dakota and for the 121st time in Gimli, Manitoba, Fréttabladid reports.

According to a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office, Sigurdardóttir will participate in the festivals’ programs and cultural events and address the assemblies at both festivals.
