Björk’s Biophilia workshop was recently taught at university level for the first time. A group of scientists and graduate students at the University of Iceland took the two-week course at the Iceland Academy of the Arts.
The course, entitled ‘Biophilia in Discourse’ is part of an initiative by the University of Iceland together with Björk and Reykjavík City to encourage a dialogue between science and nature and how the two can be integrated.
Around 100 students took the course, which ran from January 7 to 18, as stated on the website of the University of Iceland.
The workshop had previously only been offered to children.
