Ma Kai, Vice Premier of China, met with Iceland’s President Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson and Prime Minister Sigmundur Davíð Gunnlaugsson over the weekend. The vice premier is on an official visit to the country at the invitation of prime minister.
According to ruv.is, among the topics discussed at the meetings were business between the two countries, energy issues, the Arctic, human rights and international issues.
The vice premier learnt about geothermal heating in Iceland and visited the south of the country.
Ma Kai is one of China’s four vice chairs.
