This year, events to mark the 50th anniversary of video art will be held around the world. In Iceland, it will be celebrated by 700IS Reindeerland in connection with the Winter Lights Festival in Reykjavík, which opens on Thursday and runs through Sunday.
Representatives of the annual video art festival 700IS Reindeerland, which has been held in East Iceland in past years and taken to different countries, will display video art in the Nordic House from February 7 to 10.
The exhibition will consist of old and new Icelandic video art, as well as video art from Egypt, Greece, Finland, Norway, Sweden, the U.S., Germany, Palestine, Iran and the Orkney Islands, among other places.
During Museum Night on February 8, which is part of the Winter Lights Festival, various performances and other events will take place at the Nordic House.
The following day, the Nordic House will host a symposium with guest conductors from Norway, Sweden, Hong Kong and the Orkney Islands.
All of the events in the Nordic House are free to attend.
