Great News and Other News

The Icelandic Met Office has issued a storm warning for the south coast of Iceland tonight with westerly winds of more than 25m/sec.

Five drivers lost their drivers licenses on Suðurgata in Reykjavík yesterday. All drivers were caught speeding more than twice the speed limit of 30 km/h.

The Reykjavík Folk Festival will be held at Rósenberg March 7th to 10th. Sixteen groups will play at the festival, including South River Band, Melchior, KK, Varsjárbandalagið and Gæðablóð from Iceland, Benjamin & Anders from Denmark and Kvonn from the Faroe Islands.

Francesca Bember, daughter of former Liverpool striker Dave Bamber, is engaged to Bolton Wanderers star and international footballer Icelander Grétar Rafn Steinsson, dv.is reports.
