The “bomb squad” will demonstrate chemical tricks for the entire family at Reykjavík Art Museum, Ásmundarsafn building, on Sunday at 2 pm.
First the exhibition by Magnús Árnason will be observed, in which a scientific experiment with references to French chemist Louis Pasteur (1822-1895) is featured.

Meanwhile, an exhibition of paintings by art students in the secondary school Fjölbrautaskólinn í Breiðholti will open in Gallerí Tukt on Pósthússtræti 3-5 on today at 4 pm. All are welcome. It will run through April 21.
The exhibition “Friction” opens at the ASÍ Art Museum on April 14 and will run through May 12. Curated by Einar Garibaldi, Kristinn Hrafnsson and Ólafur Gíslason, the group exhibition features artwork by the following artists:

One of the last tasks of Steingrímur J. Sigfússon while in office as minister of industries and innovation was to issue a regulation on Monday extending the reserve for whales in Faxaflói bay, off Reykjavík in Southwest Iceland. The regulation took affect at midnight.
