A couple decided to help out a sea eagle which they had been monitoring for two days. The eagle, which is more than four years old, was weak but it was not clear what was wrong with it. It was transferred in a dog cage yesterday to the Reykjavik Zoo & Family Park where a veterinarian will attend to it.

Trips to the top of Iceland’s highest peak, Hvannadalshnjúkur (aka Hvannadalshnúkur), have proven popular this year, according to Icelandic Mountain Guides. Hvannadalshnjúkur is a peak on Öræfajökull in South Iceland measuring 2,109 meters in height.
