Re: Lobster Shortage in Iceland

My question is: why is lobster USD 68 per kilogram in Iceland while in Newfoundland, Canada, at a local supermarket this week in Corner Brook on the West Coast, I paid less than USD 20.

Also, our fishermen in Newfoundland are only paid for their lobster catch, about USD 7-8 a kilo depending on the variations in the market.
We have lots of lobster in our waters so maybe Icelanders can purchase Newfoundland lobsters.

Jim Day, Newfoundland, Canada
