The Norraena ferry, a passenger ferry that crosses the North-Atlantic, carried unusual passengers on its last route. 40.000 honey bees were being shipped over from Norway to an Icelandic bee farm.
The necessary certificates about the origins of the bees are missing, so the bees are stuck in Seydisfjördur harbor where Norraena lands in Iceland. Morgunbladid reports.
According to the chief veterinarian in Seydisfjordur, the bees must have a certificate about their origins to prove that they are not infected with contagions otherwise they will be sent back or put away.
