New Hot Spring Needs a Name

A new hot spring emerged in Hveragerdi after the big earthquake last Thursday. Now the hot spring is more than one week old, but still lacks a name.

The hot spring is located above the village of Hveragerdi, right by the Horticulture School of Iceland and has been getting larger since it emerged last Thursday. It spits up black mud and the mud has been piling up carter rims. The new hot spring is now one of the larger hot springs in the area. Visir.is reports

Gudrídur Helgadóttir, keeper at the Horticulture School in Hveragerdi is looking out for new names and promises a big bucket of flowers for the best name.
