Two of the three Polish men who fled the country after robbing Michelsen Watchmakers in downtown Reykjavík last October, will be extradited to Iceland. They were arrested in Switzerland late last month, visir.is reports.

The Attorney General has requested that the two men be extradited to Iceland, but one of the four robbers was convicted by the Reykjavík District Court today to five years in prison. He was in charge of driving the getaway car during the robbery as well as hiding the stolen goods. The fourth robber is most likely still in Poland.
An international arrest warrant was issued against the three men who fled the country, but since they were residing in Poland it was not possible to have them extradited to Iceland. As the two men were arrested in Switzerland in February, they could be extradited to Iceland, because they do not hold Swiss citizenship. It is not clear when the two men will be extradited.
