According to information from the Coast Guard, duty officers of a control station had spotted the ship in the area in the morning where its crew members appeared to be fishing on a line, Morgunblaðið reports.

The helicopter was sent to the scene. Its crew contacted the ship’s crew who confirmed the location noted by the control station. The ship’s crew was made to draw in the line and then sail the ship to the Westman Islands for questioning.
