According to the Icelandic Met Office, there is still considerable avalanche risk in the East Fjords, as well as on Tröllaskagi peninsula in North Iceland and the northern West Fjords, visir.is reports.
However, the layers of snow are now strengthening, which reduces the risk of further avalanches.
