The sounds made by Mayor of Reykjavík Jón Gnarr while sleeping will form the basis for a new sound sculpture by Finnbogi Pétursson. It will be part of an exhibition which opens in the Sculpture Garden on Nýlendugata in the city center on Saturday.

“The idea is for people to enter the garden at any time of day, lie down and dream with the mayor,” Finnbogi told Fréttablaðið of his art creation.
Jón gave Finnbogi permission to place a recording device in his bedroom one night. The recording is eight hours long and will be played on a loop until August.
