Sheepish ‘Polar Bears’ Spotted in North Iceland

The police in Borgarnes were notified of the sighting of two polar bears in Svínadalur valley near inhabited areas in Northwest Iceland around 11 am this morning.

The sighting was reported by inhabitants of a farm in the valley, who had been watching the animals for some time, ruv.is reports.

However, when the officers arrived it turned out that the polar bears were in fact two white sheep which had gotten lost from their home pastures but otherwise not caused any trouble.
