A video of the arrest posted on visir.is has had almost 6,000 views.

The National Commissioner of the Iceland Police has requested that the police officer shown in the video be relieved of his duties while an investigation is carried out, mbl.is reports.

The police said in a statement on their Facebook page that the video does not provide information on the communication which occurred between the woman and the police leading up to her arrest.
