Iceland’s biggest football star and former Chelsea and Barcelona player, Eiður Guðjohnsen, now playing for Club Brugge in the top Belgian league, may be about to join Zulte-Waregem in the January window, Het Laaste Nieuws reports.
Zulte-Waregem placed second in the Belgium league last year, their highest result ever. The team is currently in fourth place, one spot below Club Brugge.
Waregem is a province located in West Flanders with a population of 37,000. The town is the birthplace of the famous Belgian fashion designer Ann Demeulemeester.
