Approximately 25-30 employees of Iceland’s government ministries will be laid off before the end of the month, ruv.is reports. This is due to the government offices’ requirements to streamline its operation by 5 percent. The streamlining amounts to ISK 330 million (USD 2,600, EUR 1,900).
The Ministry of Finance and Economy has already given seven people notice.
