The annual Food and Fun Festival opens in Reykjavík this afternoon. A total of 31 foreign chefs are taking part this year, according to a press release.
In addition, 15 other foreign chefs will attend the event. Seventeen restaurants are participating in Food and Fun 2014 with each offering a four-course menu prepared by a visiting chef.
On Saturday, the final of the Food and Fun Cook of the Year competition, which involves preparing a three course meal made of Icelandic ingredients only, takes place in Harpa, where a food market will also be held.
