A new Icelandic app, Blendin, is now available at the App Store and Google Play. The app is Icelandic, created by Davíð Örn Símonarson, Kristján Ingi Mikaelsson, Ásgeir Vísir og Daníel Björn Sigurbjörnsson.
Blendin is a social network application, based on a map which allows users to share their location with friends. It also allows users to find out who is interested in going out. “It encourages users to get out of the house and interact with their friends,” Davíð Örn Símonarson, CEO of Blendin, told vísir.is.
The team has been working on the app for more than a year. “Today there is no efficient way of knowing which friends are going out—or want to go out—without calling every single one of them or messaging them on Facebook. Blendin presents the solution.”
With privacy settings, not unlike those that can be found in the app Snapchat, where users choose who receives their information, Blendin has set out to revolutionize the landscape of social media as we know it today.
