The Social Democratic Alliance continues to have the largest support rating in Reykjavík, or 34 percent, according to the latest poll conducted by the University of Iceland’s Social Science Research Institute for Morgunblaðið. The party is set to secure six seats in Reykjavík City Council in the upcoming elections on May 31, ruv.is reports.
Support for the Independence Party has never been lower with 21.5 percent. The party is set to secure three seats.
Bright Future is the second largest party with 22 percent. The Pirate Party and the Left-Greens are set to secure one seat each. Support for the Progressive Party is 3 percent, down from 4.5 percent earlier this month.
The poll was conducted from May 12-15.
