One Million USD to Market Iceland

The marketing organization Iceland Naturally will receive USD 1 million (ISK 339 million, EUR 735,000) per year until the end of 2016 to promote Iceland and make Icelandic products and services more visible on the North American market.

The agreement was presented at a Reykjavík City Council meeting on Thursday. Reykjavík City will provide USD 55,000 to the project per year while the State Treasury will provide USD 620,000 per year, reports.

Among the companies taking part in the project are Icelandair, Blue Lagoon, Reyka Vodka, Landsvirkjun and Promote Iceland.
