Iceland Beats Gibraltar 121: 30

Iceland beat Gibraltar 121:30 in basketball at the European Championship for Small Countries Women in St. Pölten in Austria yesterday. The Icelandic lead was 60:16 at half time.

All players in the Icelandic national team scored during the game. Hildur Sigurðardóttir, captain of the Icelandic champions Snæfell from Stykkishólmur on Snæfellsnes peninsula, and player of the year 2014, played her 77th international game, a new record for Iceland.

Helena Sverrisdóttir, who plays for WF DVTK in Hungary, was Iceland’s top scorer with 20 points, karfa.is reports. 

Iceland lost to Malta 46:85 on Sunday.
