Two health workers from the Icelandic Red Cross—registered nurse Magna Björk Ólafsdóttir and psychologist Elín Jónasdóttir—will over the next few days travel to Sierra Leone as part of an international team working under the auspices of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on educating the public on how to prevent Ebola infection.

Over past few months, 843 people have contracted Ebola in three countries—Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone—and 315 have died of the disease, visir.is reports.

Both Magna and Elín have worked for the Red Cross in various parts of the world, most recently in the Philippines in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan.
