A new trailer from the movie Interstellar by director Christopher Nolan, starring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Matt Damon, among others, which was to a large extent filmed in Iceland, was published on variety.com yesterday.

In the trailer, Icelandic landscape can be seen. The cast and crew spent two weeks in and around Kirkjubæjarklaustur in South Iceland while filming last September, ruv.is reports.

As reported at the time, shooting mostly took place at Orrustuhóll in the Eldhraun lava field and at Svínafellsjökull, an outlet glacier of Vatnajökull. Certain walking paths within Vatnajökull National Park were closed during shooting.

In sci-fi Interstellar, a group of space explorers pass through a wormhole on an interstellar voyage to save humanity. The movie is set to premiere in early November.
