The results are in for the first part of the Iceland Review Photo Contest 2014.
The jury selected five photos as finalists. The images were posted on Facebook and voting carried out by liking and sharing (a share counts as ten likes).
Each of the five jury selections were well received but two pictures were ahead of the pack.
The winner of Best Photo of an Icelandic Mountain is: ‘Between Vík and Jökulsá’ by Margaret Ketchersid with 1,634 votes.
The runner up is: ‘Herðubreið’ by Kyle Mortara with 1,107 votes.
The other three selections received between 350 and 500 votes: ‘Along the Ring Road in South Iceland on April 18’ by Amy Tavern, ‘Heimaey’ by Patricia Steenacker, and ‘Skagafjörður’ by Agnès Brunet.
We congratulate Margaret Ketchersid on winning the first category and thank her and the other contestants for participating.
You can submit entries in the second part of our contest, Waterfalls, until midnight. After that the voting starts.
