Iceland Review Photo Contest Winner - Buildings

The results are in for the third part of the Iceland Review Photo Contest 2014, Buildings.

The jury selected six photos as finalists. The images were posted on Facebook and voting carried out by liking and sharing (a share counts as ten likes). 

Each of the six jury selections was well received and the race was quite close.

The winner of Best Photo of an Icelandic Building is ‘Geirsstaðakirkja’ by Carolin Giese with 676 votes.

The runner up is ‘Nýibær, Hólar’ by Christian Beuvard and a close third is ‘Hallgrímskirkja’ by Kyle Mortara.

‘Grótta Lighthouse, Reykjavik, June 2014’ by Christina Kinzel, ‘Near Tjörnin’ by Marcy Stuart and ‘Eyðibýli (Abandoned Farm), South Iceland, February 2013’ by Carolin Giese were also among the top six selected by the jury.

We congratulate Carolin Giese on winning the third category and thank her and the other contestants for participating.
