A strong gale warning (more than 20 m/s) is in effect in the northwest of the country.
Considerable rain is expected in the eastern part of Southeast Iceland and the East Fjords over the coming hours. Water levels may increase in rivers and streams and there is an increased risk of landslides.
The temperature will be 4 to 12ºC (39-53ºF), with the warmest weather in South Iceland.
Easterly winds of 8 to 15 m/s and rain in the south and east is forecast for tomorrow. Elsewhere it will be mainly dry.
