The project, initiated by film director Karna Sigurðardóttir and design curator Pete Collard, explores the possibilities for small-scale design and production in East Iceland, using only locally-sourced materials and skills, as stated on the website of the Iceland Design Center.

The other nominees were Ljósmyndastúdíó H71a, Magnea AW2014 and Skvís.
