The police in Suðurnes, Southwest Iceland, were called to Keflavík International Airport last weekend to question a woman who had been living there for seven days.

Airport workers started suspecting that the woman wasn’t just passing through because she entered the same store every day to buy a coke and a banana, mbl.is reports.

The woman, who had a U.S. passport, admitted to the police that she had stayed at the airport for one week. The police informed her that the airport was not a place to live and that her time in the Schengen area had expired.

However, the woman refused to return to the U.S. but booked a ticket to Edinburgh, Scotland, instead. Her flight departed on Sunday evening.
