Iceland is currently in the grips of a tourism boom, an issue which Iceland Review regularly reports on. On Saturday, a total of 133 passenger jets landed at Keflavík International Airport, or roughly one per 11 minutes, according to Morgunblaðið.

The airport was particularly crowded on Saturday but passengers didn’t need to worry about ongoing transport: a total of 28 taxis and around 30 buses were parked outside the airport when Morgunblaðið visited the airport.

A record one million tourists visited Iceland last year and that record is set to be broken again this year.
