Almost six out of ten Icelanders would like there to be a limit to how long a person may serve as president, according to RÚV.

This is the result of a new poll conducted by Maskína. Forty-five percent of respondents would like the limit to be two terms, or eight years, while 37 percent find three terms, or 12 years, acceptable. Seventeen percent of those polled would not support a limit to be set.

The poll was conducted July 24-August 13 and included 751 participants.
