Ásgeir Elíasson and Árni Þór Árnason swam across the English Channel Monday, from England to France, RÚV reports. Ásgeir had intended to swim back to England, but poor weather conditions and strong currents hampered him.
Ásgeir took off around midnight Sunday night and reached shore in France around 5 pm Monday.
Árni Þór took off half an hour before midnight on Sunday and came to shore at 8:30 pm Monday. He faced very difficult conditions, and waves as high as 1.5 meters.
