A police officer saving an owl is a rare bird.

But that’s precisely who you’re looking at here above.

Sunday, some residents of Reykjanesbær, Southwest Iceland, were walking their dogs as they noticed an owl stuck in a fence. The owl had seriously injured one of its wings.

Police officers came to the rescue and took the owl under their wing. They brought it to the vet where it’s said to be in good hands, according to the Facebook page of Suðurnes Police.
