Delta Airlines will be offering direct flights between Iceland and Minneapolis next summer, mbl.is reports. There will be daily flights between Keflavík and the Twin Cities, starting May 27. Since 2011, Delta has offered daily flights between Keflavík and New York during the summer. It’s the only US airline with scheduled flights to Iceland.
As on the New York-Keflavík route, the airline will use Boeing 757 aircraft, seating 199 passengers, for the route to Minneapolis.
Delta recently announced that next year, the Keflavík-New York flight would begin in February and be offered for seven months. That’s three months longer than before. The addition of the Keflavík-Minneapolis route means travelers now have a choice of connecting Delta flights to 130 destinations in the US, Canada and Latin America.
