Around 40 new acts were this week announced for the Iceland Airwaves music festival, to be held in central Reykjavík from November 2 to 6.
The latest additions to the lineup include British acts Warpaint, Minor Victories and Kate Tempest.
The latest Icelandic names on the list include Úlfur Úlfur, Singapore Sling, Samaris, Emsjé Gauti, Hildur and many more.
Probably the biggest name so far confirmed is British singing legend PJ Harvey, who will hold a concert at the home of the Valur sports team on Sunday November 6. Special tickets are not needed for the PJ Harvey concert and all festival ticketholders will be welcome…until the venue reaches capacity.
The concert held by múm with the Kronos Quarter at Harpa on Friday November 4 is also included in the price of festival tickets. However, a limited number of tickets will go on sale the day before to non-festivalgoers, on a first-come-first-served basis.
