A British Airways flight was diverted to Keflavík International Airport on Tuesday morning after a man reportedly attempted suicide in the jet’s lavatory, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The aircraft, and Airbus A-380, was en route from Los Angeles to London.

The man was taken to hospital and has been discharged. He was found inside the lavatory after passengers had pointed out how long it had been occupied. The plane continued to Heathrow Airport after a two-hour delay.

Guðni Sigurðsson, a spokesman for Isavia, the company which runs the airport, confirmed with RÚV that the aircraft had landed due to the health issues of a passenger onboard.

Among the passengers were numerous people from Hollywood on their way to the Cannes Film Festival.
