A new album from the Icelandic blues/rock band Kaleo ranks 15th on the Billboard 200 chart less than a week after its release, according to a press release from Sena. A/B,which is the band’s second album, but the first one to be released abroad, ranked high on charts worldwide last weekend. Their first album was released in Iceland in 2013.
The band members have been living in Austin, Texas, for the past year―at least during the few weeks they’ve not been on the road.
They have gained tremendous popularity in the US in recent months and in February, they even made it to Rolling Stone Magazine’s ‘10 New Artists You Need to Know,’ the press release states.
The band has traveled across the US for the past year and played at sold-out concerts and numerous music festivals, in addition to tours to Australia and Mexico.
