A new poll, conducted September 20-26, has just been published by MMR. It shows the Pirate Party enjoying 21.6 percent support, closely followed by the Independence Party, with 20.6 percent support. The Reform Party receives 12.3 percent support, its strongest showing so far, while the Progressive Party receives 12.2 percent, up from 11 percent on September 19. The Left-Green Movement gets 11.5 percent support, and the Social Democratic Alliance receives 9.3 percent. Bright Future gets its strongest support since May, or 4.9 percent. Other parties enjoy less than 2 percent support. Support for the government is 31.5 percent, according to the poll, which is down from 34.5 percent on September 19.
The number of participants, all of them 18 and older, was 985.
Parliamentary elections will be held in Iceland on October 29.
