An exhibition, featuring a series of photos by Kristina Petrošiutė, titled Decompostion, opened last weekend in Gallery Ramskram, Njálsgata 49, Reykjavík.
The project is done in cooperation with RIFF, the Reykjavík International Film Festival. The artist visited the EYE Film Institute in Amsterdam, where she photographed reels of nitrate film reels which lay under damage. Her photos demonstrate the connection between man’s hard work and pursuit of art and the unavoidable effects of the environment, where nature has the upper hand.
The exhibition is open Thursday and Friday, 4 pm-7 pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 1 pm-7 pm. It runs until October 9th.
