The Stockfish Film Festival opens at Bíó Paradís in Reykjavík tonight. The festival runs through March 5. The festival features a diverse selection of films, of various cultural backgrounds and themes. It builds on the foundation created by the Reykjavík Film Festival, first held in 1978. The purpose of the festival is to enrich Icelandic film culture on a broad level.
The program features well known film directors from various countries, with an emphasis on the latest in international film. The films have English subtitles.
