Staff of The Environment Agency of Iceland have set up a fence by Skógafoss waterfall in South Iceland to counteract the intrusion of visitors on the lawn in front of the fall.
According to an announcement on the agency’s website, large areas of the grass have been damaged or disappeared. The next step is to restore the grass within the fenced-off area. There are two walking trails that lead up to the waterfall.
