At approximately 10:30 yesterday evening, an altercation was reported at the N1 gas station on Hringbraut in Reykjavík, Vísir reports . Three men were busy washing their car, but while doing so, water sprayed on another vehicle and a man standing nearby. The man thought that this had been done willingly and subsequently responded by splashing the others back. At that point, the initial instigator, along with his two friends, went after the other man, who took cover in the passenger seat of his car where his fiancée was at the wheel. The three men chased him and began beating him up where he sat in the car. The fiancée attempted to flee the scene but became flustered and her car collided with the vehicle belonging to the other men.

The three men were all arrested and taken into police custody. Only minor injuries were incurred.
