American newspaper The Wall Street Journal published an article on Iceland’s tourism industry yesterday. The article’s headline states “Tourism Saved Iceland, But Now It’s a Headache”. The author, Nina Adam, writes about the rapid growth of tourism in the country and the accompanying challenges. Among the issues discussed are the effects tourism has had on housing availability, rent prices, and roadside trash in Iceland.
