An Icelandic man was taken to the National University Hospital of Iceland a few weeks ago when a package of illegal drugs, which he had concealed internally, began leaking. Vísir reports.

The man in question, who is said to be in his 20s, arrived at Keflavík Airport from Manchester on October 31st. He was arrested by customs officers when it became clear he was smuggling drugs.

Afterwards, the man was taken to the University Hospital with haste, once the package of drugs he had inside his body began to leak. The operation he underwent saved his life.

According to the Police in Keflavík, the man was carrying 41 packages of illegal drugs internally. They contained 300 grams of cocaine and 60 grams of ecstasy.
