Two to three passengers sustained minor injuries when their bus collided with a snow plowing vehicle in Northeast Iceland yesterday afternoon, Vísir reports. Though the cause of the accident has not been established, the area was experiencing extreme weather and poor visibility at the time.
The bus passengers were a group of 25 tourists from Taiwan. Rescue workers were dispatched to the scene, and in addition to assisting the group, have also helped other travellers affected by extreme weather in the area. The travellers were moved to the town of Egilsstaðir where they received assistance.
